The outdoor fireplace creates a wonderful space for chilled evenings swapping stories and relaxing after a day spent exploring the South Downs.

Discover Lucky and Silhouette's Stables
Lucky and Silhouette's Stables have been converted into a destination holiday cottage. Perfect for group bookings, whether it's for a family reunion, a birthday celebration with the family or friends or wedding accommodation so you can all get ready together.
Nestled on the edge of the South Downs and close to the historic coastal village of Bosham we are spoilt with the range of things to see, places to go and gourmet food on our doorstep. Perhaps you'll arrive by the coast road with views out to the sea. Either way as you turn down the Oakwood West drive you'll know that you've reached a place designed for peaceful holidays and a perfect location for forays into the rich culture and countryside of West Sussex.
Holiday Cottage Interior
The detached properties are self contained but designed to be used together as needed. Courtyard doors enable quick and easy access between on the east side and an interlinking garden gate on the West ensures access for everyone all round. Each property has it's own living space, kitchen and dining area but Lucky's is able to accommodate everyone (up to 10 guests) comfortably in the open plan dining area for grand dinners together. Cooking for all is easy in the large kitchen with range cooker and American style fridge/freezer.
Vintage leather sofas set around a log burning stove, one in each cottage. Five bedrooms await you (4 double, 1 twin as either a superking or 2 singles) with luxurious bedding and beautiful designer wallpaper. Flexible sleeping options for children is available on a sofa bed in each living space with a privacy partition. There are four bathrooms each with shower and sparkling facilities.
Holiday Cottage Exterior
Wander outside, drink in hand, to your beautiful decked garden. Under the lights of the pagoda you can sit on large sofas in front of a roaring fire set in the outside fireplace. Lounge in the large hot tub as the stars emerge overhead and enjoy the feeling of complete relaxation. The garden is completely enclosed, perfect for children and your dogs to play in happily. Out the front of your cottage is private parking for three cars and a dog wash area. The cottage adjoins to Silhouette's Stable where there is further space for relaxing in the sun or hot tub. There is a gate between the gardens to allow flowing access between both properties.
"A beautiful place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Whilst rural it is only a short drive to the beach and city and so many interesting places. Local pubs and cafes are excellent and very dog friendly. We will definitely return."
General Information
Our prices include bed linen and towels and a load of logs for the outside fireplace & each indoor log burning stove.
Check in is from 4pm with check out by 10am.
Arrival & departure days are Monday & Friday.
Minimum stay 3 nights at the weekend, 4 nights mid-week.

There's a lot to discover close to Oakwood West. You'll find us in the South Downs National Park & a few minutes drive from Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Explore it all by walking, cycling, boating or countryside drives to quaint pubs in picturesque villages.
Visit the beautiful waterside village of Bosham, the historic city of Chichester or glamourous events at Goodwood. Spend long days on the famous sandy beaches at West Wittering or indulge in a tipple at the award winning vineyards of Sussex, including Ashling Park a short walk away. Find out more.
