Fern Lodge is a vibrant holiday cottage. It is nestled into the countryside of the South Downs that has been so beloved by artists & poets. Rural beauty is reflected in the design of Fern Lodge, from the leafy designer wallpapers to the skillfully hand painted murals. You may not want to leave your cottage but if you do, you'll be perfectly placed to explore the rich culture & gastronomic delights of Chichester, glamorous Goodwood and the South Downs.
Holiday Cottage Interior
The master bedroom up the stairs has expansive views over to the South Downs. The bed can also be used as two singles. A canopied ceiling and rich fabrics create an enticing space, step out onto the balcony to fully enjoy the ambience. Downstairs there is a double bedroom with timber beams and woodland wallpaper. Two others can drift off to sleep looking up at the night sky mural painted above the alcove double bed, curtained for privacy. Spend time lounging in deep leather sofas around a wood burning stove. Be creative in the modern kitchen and share food around the dining table. Two bathrooms with walk in showers and gorgeous fittings complete the cottage.
Holiday Cottage Exterior
Fern Lodge has a large, dog secure enclosed garden, with a lawn and social decking area with outdoor sofas perfect for lounging in and swing seats. A bubbling hot tub is waiting outside your holiday cottage for you and your friends to enjoy.
Fire up the BBQ to grill delicious food or light up the fire pit to toast marshmallows and tell stories as the sun goes down.
From a gate in the garden, you can look out over the wildlife meadow, spotting deer and rabbits, owls and pheasants. Next to the lodge there is allocated parking for two cars.
"We had a weekend stay in Fern Lodge and can't recommend it enough. The lodge and its garden were fabulous. We had lots of trips out planned but loved the place so much we just stayed in. Look out for the barn owls in the wildlife meadow. We watched them for hours on end swooping over the tall grass. It's a magical place."

Our prices include bed linen and towels, electricity and a load of logs for the log burning stove or fire pit.
Check in is from 4pm with check out by 10am.
Arrival & departure days are Monday & Friday.
Minimum stay 3 nights at the weekend, 4 nights mid-week.
